Ally Sheedy

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy (born June 13th 1962) is an American actress. After her debut on film with the 1983 film Bad Boys she became known as a member of the Brat Pack group of actors. She also appeared as a character in WarGames (1983) The Breakfast Club (1985) as well as Short Circuit (1986). Her performance on Lisa Cholodenko's High Art (1998) Sheedy received the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female lead. Ally Sheedy has been an American actor and author for more than twenty years. She began her acting career in the film Bad Boys at the beginning of the 1980s. The film, which was helmed by Rick Rosenthal also starred other well-known actors like Sean Penn Esai Morales Clancy Brown and Alan Ruck. After her breakthrough with her debut film, she also appeared in the 1985 comedy-drama film The Breakfast Club. John Hughes directed one of the most memorable films made for high school students. The film cost only $1,000,000 but it grossed more than 50 million dollars. Also, she began to appear on a number of television shows like CBS Schoolbreak. This was her debut on television. In April of 1980, the show began to air. It was aimed at teenagers. Also, she appeared on various shows on TV, including Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid and Hill Street Blues. Recent appearances include Little Sister, a film that follows a super-hero, with Sheedy as an appearance in a minor role. Sheedy received numerous prizes in 2005 for her performance. She also was honored with the MTV Movie Award, Silver Bucket of Excellence Award.
