Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very famous. Her mother raised her in the USA in a place where she endured many racial taunts that left her feeling like a non-person. When she was in 9th grade she began to feel more secure after being applauded by her teachers for singing at a school's audition. Not only did she gain confidence from the experience however, she also re-evaluate her plans for her career. At the age of 22, she graduated from the New York's Julliard School. As she was turning 23, she started her career on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, aged 23, her movie debut was You've received mail. The character of The Lad of The Lake became her most memorable success, and earned herself an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her performance. The following year, she was cast as the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. Also, she is a well-known singer and has published an extended version of her play. Also, she is an activist who is active for LGBT rights.
